Have been Far too quiet on here!
So the training is still going well, walking to and from work a few evenings a week and then longer walks on the weekend with a few cycle rides thrown in for good measure.
Neck Update:
So still having some trouble with my neck but it seems to be easing off
I had said that as I get closer Bennachie a local hill/mountain would be good to test my fitness or lack of. So a couple of sundays ago a troop of us set off to scale it, its only 500ish meters but pretty steep. After stage 1 packing for the camino the day before I decided to do it with my full pack that I will be taking.
It took us about 45 mins to scale it and I will be honest I had to stop and start in places and was sweating out my hoop but equally was following other peoples pace. I know that what I need to do in the Pyrenees is 3 times as high but not as steep so I am taking some solace in the time we did it in and I am not too worried that I will be fine doing it at my own pace. We then went and hit up the other peaks, the whole thing only took us a couple of hours.
