So this morning I started walking at half 4 with a distance of 37k on my mind untried to keep my pace fast early doors using my head torch to try and find the camino signs! All was well and I was making good progress when it became light it was soon apparent a normal sunny day was not on the cards it was very overcast and even deep mist in areas however the cooler weather suited me better and I made good progress!
I came across some very funny sign posts seemingly all just cartoons of mice and cats! Then went through Bilarado which has casts of famous people’s feet and hands on the camino!
As it was misty and cloudy I didn’t take to many pictures and towards the last 5-6k my feet were not happy at me! But I arrived just before 2pm which for 37k wasn’t too shabby! The albergue I’m staying in is proper medieval and very old school no electricity plugs, it barely has lights!
Tomorrow I will walk 26k into Burgos and have decided to book a swanky hotel as a treat to myself!
