Day 6 – Mos to Pontevedra - 30k

So myself and Camino buddy Xavier chilled at our little albergue of 14 beds having a beer and a pizza. After being robbed of an hour and the last few days being 30k plus it has had its toll and an early to bed plan had been formulated.  Cracking beds tho in the albergue.  The plan to wake up for 7 which is just before the sunrises and walk with what we tha ugly was 30k as the target.

We were not the first to wake but we were second along with a few others.  Now getting out of a junk bed and get all your shit in your bag and put your shoes on and pick up your bag and walking sticks is an art. Like a ninja I got out of there not a waking perigrino in sight just to watch some one else clang every bit of metal in the joint.

We got out on Camino and made progress very quickly when we walked into the town of Mos we then understood we had stopped in a new albergue and were actually now 3k extra on today’s planned location.  Today tho we knew we had distance and 3 hills against us so onwards we went trying to stop every 10k.  It was a misty overcast day so a lot cooler than normal not that you could tell by the sweat pouring down me at the top of the first hill.  First hill down we stopped for toast and Aquarius with a coffee.  Recharged the batteries and made our peace with the next 10k another hill down and we were going no strong.  We stopped for the perigrino menu of chicken, chips and salad with a coffee and drink for 6 euro the fuel needed for the last hill. Going up the hill we were fine but after coming down the hill we were both pretty tired and with aching feet we arrived on hoping to see the town and the finish line but it was seemingly  not in sight.  It’s the last few kilometers that sucked today but we went around the corner to find the albergue. I will take pics of the albergue today.  We have beds on the floor today.

Not too many pics from today:
