Day 7 - Los Arcos to Logrono - 28k (likely 33k)

So we started off early knowing today would be a long one, potentially the longest stage to date, 28k. However the sun gods have arrived. So this may be a tricky one for me. I started walking with Claude and Richard and we were making good speed. I did fall asleep early last night but seem to have some hay fever cold thing going on too. But I was aware I perhaps didn't drink as much water last night as I should have done. My blister this morning was edging on painful too.

We trundled on knowing to try and make good pace and we had regular stops for food and drink. But when we got the last 10 k I thought I had loads of water left but alas it seems I had drunk 2 litres quite quickly. No more fountains and the mid day sun was a mix not made for me, not realising how much I had sweat.

The last 8k was time to join the struggle club. So it's fair to say not many pics today and probably a little sun burnt too. Was a bit of a space cadet by the end. But thankfully this isn't my first rodeo so went to the shops and got the same salad stuff as I had last night with meat and cheese. A big bottle of aquarius and water and rehydrating powder and anti hystemean. I shall have an early night tonight and I will maybe shoot for a short day tomorrow if I'm not back to top form.

Me blowing out my fluids and salts is always a risk for me so rest assured I'm prepared and well experienced now so nothing to worry about:
