Day 23 - Foncebadon to Ponferrada - 28km

Another day, another bunch of Bambi's setting phone alarms at 5. So we got up early but had breakfast at just before 6 so made our way up to the Cruz De Ferro. Was such a nice sky this morning and my burdens were dropped off, I'm not going to go into detail here but you can personally ask me. Just as we were leaving we bumped into Danielle the American chick doing interviews so I quickly helped her film her rock throws and we finally did the interview we tried to fit in before.

Just after the interview ended we had a little coffee van so had a coffee with the best backdrop:
Yasser had walked on so I had a mission to catch him. The trail was quite technical in spots today but my legs are strong and the downhill parts are similar to our Welsh trails near the house so I was in my comfort zone.

The views today were off the chain and cloud inversions and mountains for days. Definitely one of the best days for views. We made good time and was finally out of the downhill stuff and into Molinaseca a very pretty town at the bottom of the hill. We had a very delicious burger and smashed the last 7k out in the mid day heat.

Was a big day with the hills but still feeling good.

We are in the donation albergue tonight in Ponferrada but it's very nice. This is the town with the Templar castle but it didn't fancy a third visit so enjoy the pics from outside.
