Day 24 - Ponferrada to Villafranca del Bierzo - 24km

Actually had a nice sleep last night no Bambi's. Today is supposed to be 5-6 degrees hotter than yesterday and it was 28 degrees at 8 last night. So the mission today was to move fast before it got too wild.

Yasser was worried today and said he knee's hurt from yesterday so told me to crack on and gave me his recommendation for the albergue today so he could take it slow. 

So I headed out alone, a few aches today from my quads and feet, however still moving well and fast. I stopped for toast and coffee around 8k in. There was only a few pilgrims around so I assume they got up earlier or they will be getting up much later and going short. 

Some nice little villages but a good bit of walking by the road. Though we definitely walking through more wine country today. The mountains looming on the distance. We have a big day tomorrow 28k to the top of the mountain. So very happy to get in by 12 and relax today and maybe book some Santiago hotels for the end of the trip.
