Today we started at about 7 after having breakfast although I would have preferred to have started earlier and had more time to relax in the afternoon. Especially as we knew it would be a long day.
But we made good progress up the mountain and again it was very steep and up and down in places which is often very annoying. If I’m climbing I prefer to just go up and down not zig zag and go up and down but the views were very good.
The last few days have all been late slogs and I’m hoping we can resume some order and head out for 6 and be done by 2pm over the next few days to rest up properly between walks.
Today was a five finish and the last 10k was very hard on the feet due to it all being downhill but on the plus side no more big hills so the hard work has been done.
But we’re on target to be done in 4 days and arrive in Santiago.
I caught the sun today as it didn’t seem that hot coming down the mountain but as we got lower it got me but hopefully it will just go brown but I’m definitely a bit pink tonight.
