So today sorted off fairly slow as I met two English speakers a rarity on the Camino! Mary an Irish woman and Teresa an American from Alabama. We walked into Pamplona and chatted it was great to have some normal chat for a change! We then walked out of Pamplona and after 15k they were calling it a day!
As if the Camino knew there was Gino so I walked with them! The views today were very beautiful and the golden countryside even in the overcast weather looked good. The sun did come out for the afternoon tho I enjoyed the cooler walking conditions this morning.
My feet now with 4 very small blisters found today quite hard going but I think that’s mainly down to conditioning still on going! I could have happily stopped 5k earlier but wanted to hit my days target!
We normally find the albergue’s very easily but today was a lot harder and after an hour searching we found space in the last part of town up a huge hill! So today’s total would be in the 35k mark so all good.
Hoping my feet ease in again tomorrow and my aching muscles break in! About to dig into a menu peregrine. Normally soup or salads to start the main is normally potatoes or chips with chicken and ice cream or yogurt for desert. All washed down with a large glass of wine! Not bad for between 8 and 10 euro.
