Day 3 - Zubiri to Pamplona - 20k

So another short one definitely have a few aches but motoring nicely and getting Into the vibe, so we have worked out there doesn't seem to be a bed rush at all on our starting day, just before us is a group of 600 so definitely got lucky.

So just another low km day today. I shall show you the pics shortly but not a lot to say today other than there was a huge lack of shops and cafe's so it was a 15k slog before any solid sustinance.  Once I had food and coffee I was all good tho. Pamplona is as beautiful as I remember. The Municipal Albergue is in the old part of the city right by the Cathedral. 11 euros so super cheap for being in a city.

So I wanted to take today to enlighten you to the day of a pilgrim. So in general life on Camino starts at 5am (4 am UK time)  when the boldest pilgrims enivtable exit wakes everyone up clanging their bag or walking poles off a bed. It's also super hard to get off a bunk bed in silence.  I am trying to be on the Camino for 6 (5 UK time) so it's just starting to get light, sunrise is at 6:45. You walk for 5 - 10k hoping for a cafe for some coffee and food. Then repeat until your at your chosen destination. Ideally between 12- 14. Then rush to get in the shower, wash clothes and get your bag ready. Then depending on where you are you may go find a shop to buy snacks or plan the meal for later. Though you have to rush as shops close for siesta a d don't open until 5 pm. Some pilgrims nap, tho I suck at napping. So tend to find a bar for coffee or a victory beer.

Ideally finding a perigrino 3 course menu between 18:00 and 19:00.

By 8 pm (7 pm in the UK) peeps are double checking bags and most are lying on their bed, some sleeping by 9 pm and by 10 pm everyone is sleeping. We really do operate on a different clock. I have also been walking in airplane mode to conserve phone battery so it will take me a while to respond to stuff around these hours.

Pics from today:
