Day 20 - Leon to San Martin del Camino - 25k - & rest day catch-up

So before we start today's walk it's time to catch you up on the two rest days. We all got up quite late on Friday morning appreciating the lack of alarms. Cali and I went to breakfast before she went off for her hair appointment. I went to the super market for snacks and drinks and headed to my hotel to chill for most of the day. Eva and Emily also arrived in Leon so we all met up in the evening and went on a tapas crawl. Tho I found a lil place doing single slice pizza that was also lush. Then we found a place doing 1 euro tapas that was really good. So we stayed there a while. Then on to a British bar for a dance and more drinks. I of course stayed sensible and headed home around 12.30 am with a kebab. Not everyone was so sensible so some sore heads in the morning for breakfast. Then shopping for new shoes for Cali before getting snacks and having a chill day in the hotel. Yasser message me that he was in Leon and finally caught up I had not seen him since day 3 in Pamplona, so we had a drink and a catch up. We did look for food but it was too early, so I headed back to the hotel and went back out after 8 to get a big pizza from the slice shop with a hot dog thing and then and early night as walking was back on.

So back to 6am starts now, it's the Sunday morning so at 6 Spaniards are still out and drunk from the night before all across the streets and the stale booze filled streets haven't been cleaned yet. I headed to the Cathedral to find the Camino only to find Sean, Luc, Eva and Monique so walked with them for a while out the city but Monique needed to use the cash machine and I trundled on never to see them again today, think they were going slow and may have stopped for a coffee early on plus they were aiming for the town before the one I was shooting for. 

I waited for maybe 3 towns before I stopped for coffee and a pan au chocolate only to be joined by Yesser. So we had breakfast and walked together. Still lots of road walking and industrial area's today but the sun was mild so not a bad first day back to it. Got our Albergue and we are just down the road from Emily and Cali so all good and Cali seems to be back in actions since the injuries. Hoping Monique had a strong day too and we can all keep going.
